nu -Greek restaurant

A clip on Harry and his wonderful new addition to the Vancouver food scene.

Harry Kambolis is a Vancouver-based restaurant entrepreneur and businessman. With a family background in hospitality, Kambolis had a vision of transforming the Canadian restaurant industry and in less than a decade, created three restaurants – Raincity Grill, C Restaurant and Nu – that have earned critical acclaim nationwide, including a national award for Best Restaurant in Canada. Kambolis was the first restaurant entrepreneur to base an entire menu off of locally sourced ingredients and produce in the now widely followed 100-mile diet and in doing so, helped define Pacific Northwest cuisine.

A passionate environmentalist, Kambolis is a founding member of the Vancouver Aquarium’s Ocean Wise program and aims to make C Restaurant a flagship of sustainability with the help of Executive Chef Robert Clark, business partner and 2009 recipient of Vancouver Magazine’s Green Award. In his spare time, Kambolis is the Director of Greenscape Capital and also works tirelessly with the David Suzuki Foundation as well as the Marine Stewardship Council. Kambolis’ other accomplishments include bringing socially responsible products to Canadian consumers and defining eco-luxury in his recently launched online newsletter, Ethical Luxury ( Among other accolades and accomplishments, Harry was inducted in to the BC Restaurant Hall of Fame in September 2010, as one of the youngest to be honored the merit.

Try one of the “nu” locations popping up in the city for a great healthy take on modern but true to flavor Greek goodies…..
Restaurateurs with two way vision like this with the ability to take what is traditional and spin it for today without losing identity or flavor (most important) will continue to bring us foodies and food lovers from everywhere the “Yum” that we continue to search out.
Did I mention….great prices and value for the great flavors….hers is the link to the menu
